Your partner in Motherhood!
I have been a creative person for as long as I can remember. We're talking ten-year-old me doing photoshoots in the backyard with my sister, editing music videos to Taylor Swift songs together, and a YouTube channel in high school that somehow got to 1,000 subscribers (still amazed).
Since then, I've cycled through more creative phases and hyper fixations than I can count. YouTube channels, live music, busking, writing multiple EPs and Albums, content creation, DIY projects, and now I’ve combined all my learnings and skills into Sami Cuff Socials! My brain doesn't stop, ever. I get an idea and I can just make it happen, whether that's writing and producing music, capturing a business and growing it on social media, or picking up a camera to photograph a family.
The same brain that wouldn't sit still as a kid is the same brain running Sami Cuff Socials now.
The photography epiphany
Photography came about because I've actually been doing it as part of my job for the last four years. One day I had a proper epiphany: why the heck am I not doing something with this skill? Something that coincides with me only wanting to work part time so I can be home for Ashton. Something that makes me feel like ME again. Something I can be excited about, without the pressure of the corporate world.
So I decided it was time to launch my photography business.
The social media and the series
At the same time, I was getting really inspired by posting on my own social media again, and growing my account through my series. It has blown my mind how it's been received. It's given me the chance to connect with so many other mums in the same stage of life as me, and that has been everything.
I'd felt lost for the last two years. The series, the audience, and the conversations have given me the chance to actually find myself in motherhood.
Brand content creation
Along the way, I've been refining my content skills through my job, building up enough experience, confidence and expertise to offer brand content creation for other companies. I've grown audiences for brands too, and I just finished my degree in communications.
So everything I've ever loved doing has finally landed in one place.
Welcome
It's all happening. Welcome to the excitingly creative chaos of my brain.
If you're a family who wants photos that look like your actual life, a brand who wants content that feels real instead of performed, or just a mum who saw a reel and wanted to know who's behind it, I'm so glad you're here.
Sami xx
